SENIOR’S ASSISTED TRANSPORTATION EXPANDS TO NORTH QUEENS
Beginning May 3, VON Queens will be temporarily expanding the Senior’s Assisted Transportation Program to include the communities of North Queens. Transportation will be provided for seniors who need assistance getting to medical appointments in Liverpool or Bridgewater from the North Queens area. This service will be provided by VON volunteers and will be made available on Thursdays and Fridays.
One week's notice is required. Clients who register for this service will be charged a fee to cover the travel expenses only. Transportation must be for medical appointments and arrangements will be made on a first come- first served basis.

“Get Moving in the Morning”
A program of activities to Promote Health and Fitness in our Community
Sponsored by:
The Royal Canadian Legion, A. L. Patterson, Branch 87, Caledonia
and The Department of Health and Wellness
There will be four morning classes a week starting at 10 a.m.
Four different instructors showing four different kinds of physical
activities.

Monday:   Yoga - teaches to unite body, mind and spirit.   It helps with
balance, flexibility and muscle tone.   It teaches relaxation techniques
and stress management.   Equipment needed: Yoga mat if you have one, small pillow, blanket.

Tuesday:   Karate – Sport Karate emphasizes aerobic exercise, power,
agility, and flexibility and stress management.   Basic Karate movements
involve correct posture, stability, flexibility and help to develop
positive energy and self-confidence.

Wednesday:   Stretch and Strengthen helps build muscle (especially what we
lose due to aging) and how to stretch to avoid muscle strain.   Equipment
needed: Yoga mat if you have one, bath towel, weights if you want to use
them.

Friday: Zumba - A fun Latin dance which is also aerobic exercise.
Appropriate dry footwear is required for all sessions, and please bring your own water.

The cost is $25.00 a month for all 16 classes paid at the first of the
month. Everyone Welcome
